should teachers/ lecturers have favourites?
All of us noe that teachers / lecturers have their favourite students. Its fine for me for them to have favourites.. I mean i myself have been a favourite for a couple of my secondary teachers. Of cuz at that time, i didnt noe about the feelings of those neglected. Until i reach form 6, a certain chemistry teacher always talk bout her fav student. Everytime we cannot solve a question, she will scold us as if we were idiots... Just because her fav student can, even though that student was absent from class... If u want to display ur affection and liking to a student, then dont do in front of others la..
Then i figure out something... In SJI every teachers loved students from chinese primary school... lol.. everytime during the 1st day of school, they will surely ask students from chinese primary school to raise up our hands.. According to them, we are hardworking and smart.. Pn vijaya especially.. I think she hated most of the malay students...
That was y i think that teachers should not practise favourism.. Treat everybody equally and you will find out that every1 have their own strengths and weakness.

a world without pain?
Just imagine a world without pain. When a nail penetrate your foot, you would't realise it cuz you cannot feel the pain. Then, you'll get into big trouble by losing a lot of blood and die eventually if u cannot fell the pain from it. I once read a storybook about people that cannot feel pain. Their ancestors were brilliant scientists. They managed to remove the pain reseptors from their genes. As a result, human cannot feel pain. Many babies became deformed cuz they didn't know the danger of sharp things or by rubbing their eyes too hard till they grew blind. Many are without legs and hands. They can only learn about the danger of the world from school or from their parents. Many of them vowed to return their sensation of pain back to their body. Another book Brisingr by Paolini describe about a army that cannot feel pain. Imagine that... They will fight till their last breath.

Do we humans need pain and suffering?
Why god? Why do you create pain and sufferings? Why not just stick to happiness and pleasure? I know in science we need pain to avoid from danger. For example, we know when to avoid from hot things and we know we are sick when we are in pain. But do we need extreem pain for that? Is moderate or mild pain nt sufficient to warn us? Do we really need death of our family and friends to mould our character. From the book 'Angels and Demons', we need it to be more mature and stronger. If your child fall from his bike, you must not stop him from riding ever again.. Same concept here, we must continue to face pain to face the bleak future. Why is there war and poverty going on? Can't YOU stop it from happening. Some may say that its the doing of MEN themselves, but are you not the All Mighty?
